FAQ's
QST is touch-based therapy that parents provide to their children in the comfort of their own home. QST helps the child's sensory system more easily and comfortably receive the world around them, allowing them to engage with people and the environment in a whole new way. This increased sensory comfort can provide a foundation for developmental progress, social-emotional growth, self-regulation, and reciprocal communication—whether nonspeaking or speaking.
First, you will be asked to purchase several QST books and review the accompanying videos. Dr. Pakhi will then teach parents, guardians, and caregivers the QST movements through telemedicine, beginning with practicing the movements on one another.Once you feel comfortable with the basics, you will begin providing QST to your child daily. The massage generally takes 15–20 minutes. The training includes 20 telemedicine coaching visits. These are arranged in two five-week blocks of twice-weekly sessions, separated by a four- to five-week period of independent practice. During each visit, Dr. Pakhi observes you providing QST and offers individualized coaching and support.Although QST requires a meaningful commitment, families often describe the experience as deeply rewarding.
Genomics is the science of identifying small changes in your DNA that, by themselves, do not cause diseases but in combination with each other and the environment can contribute to both disease and health.
Precision medicine is the new field of medicine utilizing one’s genomics as a road map to clarify which nutrients, diet, supplements, lifestyle and medication modifications a person can make to recover and/or optimize their health.
IntellxxDNA™ is a Clinical Decision Support Tool that allows clinicians to look at over 600 DNA sequence changes that make a person unique. Everything in the report is modifiable and evidence-based meaning that you can do something about these changes that then translates to health optimization.
IntellxxDNA™ testing averages around $1150 for a child.
Insurance does not currently cover IntellxxDNA™ testing at this time nor does it cover Dr. Pakhi's consultation fees. If other tests are ordered, insurance may cover these tests.
