What parents are saying...

"QST should be the beginning of any autism treatment. Once you do this…you can get your child to then engage in anything else, sports, or activities, or other treatments, but it should be done at the onset.

We think QST is one of the best things that we've done with our kids. You know, we tried a lot, we feel like it connected their body to their brain, to every inch of their skin…they are so much more aware of their bodies
and more aware of their surroundings.

With kids that are on the spectrum, like our kids, it is a massive challenge, and changes don't come in steps, they come in centimeters, and you have to accumulate them to make any significant change, and QST has been a very big game changer because all of a sudden, we went from these little, tiny little inch forwards to, you know, a foot
forward here, and a foot forward there, and all of a sudden we have a connection with them that is like with anybody else.

"Dr. Pakhi,
I personally can't thank you enough for what you have done for me and my family.
For the longest time it was so hard for me to accept my son for who he is, and I felt helpless, without any hope.

You did not just give us hope but also taught us tools on how to help him. You helped me see him in a way I never did before. You made me see the 7 year old boy behind the stimming, you made us assume competence. I can't thank you enough for being our guide, our anchor and his biggest cheerleader.

QST has been an amazing experience for our family. We have seen meaningful improvements in our son’s mind-body connection, awareness and ability to engage with the world around him. One of the most noticeable changes has been an increase in eye contact and social engagement, which has been incredibly rewarding to see.

Beyond the developmental benefits, QST has also given us valuable one-on-one time together and strengthened our bond as a family. We are grateful for the positive impact it has had on our son’s growth and well-being."

"What I appreciate most about using Qigong Sensory Therapy with my child is seeing the positive changes it has brought to my daughter’s ability to regulate herself. She is better able to calm down when she becomes upset, and I have noticed fewer temper tantrums and less anxiety when I am not around. My daughter can show affection to her grandmother, go out with her father, and not cry or scream when I am not within her eyesight.

Before QST she would wake up 2-3 times per night, now she is able to sleep through the night (or wake up once per night). We started to potty train, and we have been successful, compared to other times that we tried.

I can finally take her to grocery store and not worry she will elope.  I can take her to the restaurant without her screaming, throwing herself on the floor acting like a dog (she used to bark in public). I noticed her comprehension improved, and processing time is quicker. She starting to answer simple questions.

I would tell other parents: do it!!! Be patient and give the process time to work. Autism can be a difficult journey, but once QST becomes part of the routine, the massage can begin to feel natural and manageable. When you see the fruits of your labor it will bring tears of joy to your eyes to see your child progress. "

"The positive changes began within just a month. He started sharing new words we had never heard before and would often happily hop right onto the massage table in the evening. We now enjoy beautiful moments filled with eye contact, laughter, silly stories, and singing together. Other times, he peacefully falls asleep right on the table or as soon as he gets into bed.

Recently, he even let us cut his hair—a huge milestone after years of us having to trim it while he was asleep! His school teachers and paraprofessionals frequently remark on his happy, playful mood and the creative things he says out of the blue.

It is truly a gift—not only is it free and non-invasive, but it creates a beautiful space for daily connection and bonding that you just don't get from standard therapies prescribed for ASD children."
